Celebrating Easter at The Richardson

There’s no doubt things are a little different this Easter, and whilst staying home isn’t usually at the top of the list, there are still plenty of things we can do here at The Richardson to spread the joy and bring a smile to the face of a loved one these holidays.

Here are a few fun suggestions:

1. DROP OFF AN EGG-CELLENT CARE PACKAGE TO A LOVED ONE OR SOMEONE IN NEED
It’s times like these that we appreciate the little things even more; be it a pack of chocolate eggs or a larger bag filled with basic essentials like milk, eggs, bread and a couple valuable toilet paper rolls. If you are unable to hand-deliver a care pack, there are many local delivery services still operating who can send a gift to a loved one on your behalf. Send a sweet treat with Sugar Coat it or Yummy Box, or why not a chocolate bouquet created by Edible Blooms.

2. GET YOUR BUNS IN THE OVEN
Let’s not forget the delicious tradition of Hot Cross Buns during the Easter break. We know our Residents at The Richardson are looking forward to some scrumptious Hot Cross Buns on Easter Sunday. Why not test your skills in the kitchen with Maggie Beer’s mouth-watering recipe or take a look at Broadsheet’s top picks for where you can buy some of Perth’s best Hot Cross Buns.

3. EASTER HAT PARADE
Turn on the video chat connect with your grandies whilst getting in touch with your own inner-child this Easter. Here are 20 fun and easy Easter Hat ideas – and don’t forget to don your hat when you go out for your evening stroll!

4. CRACKING UP DURING YOUR EASTER EGG HUNT
This year, try an Easter Egg hunt with a difference! Hide some eggs in your loved ones’ front yard (young or old) then get back on the video chat and enjoy watching them light up as they discover the chocolate surprises you have hidden. Residents at The Richardson use FaceTime to call their loved ones although there are a number of new video call platforms to try including Zoom or HouseParty.

We hope you have a wonderful Easter, full of love & joy.
